Thursday February 18 2010. Optimism from Callidus

Iain Cooper our Managing Director, has this to say about our business: 'We are delighted to announce that we have started 2010 in great shape and hugely optimistic about how we will embrace and tackle the challenges of our market this year.

'Can't say that the 'here and now' isn't a tough place to be and like most businesses - in or out of our sector, the need for change, getting leaner - while still delivering our best for our clients, are all key focus areas for us.

'We are very fortunate to have a client list who have managed to maintain strong performance in very tough conditions, and we have created some very interesting opportunities from our new business efforts - especially within our international, interim and consultancy areas.

'These successes have confirmed for us that our current investments in our own technology and systems, marketing and people development are precisely the right course of action as we pursue our ambitious plans for 2010.'

Tuesday November 3 2009. Fleets reassured by BVRLA

Following some high-profile reductions by finance providers in the broker market, the British Vehicle Rental and Leasing Association BVRLA, is moving towards reassuring fleets that the market is not about to disappear.

Members of the BVRLA's leasing broker committee say they remain committed, despite Lex Autolease' decision earlier this year to reduce its broker business, and more latterly, the closure of Lombard Vehicle Finance' broker operation.

Jo Elms, Brand Director at LeasePlan's Network small business division commented: "Introducer-based business is a key part of our product mix. We intent to significantly grow our volumes in this area in 2010, but we will use fewer brokers and will deliver higher levels of customer service."

Head of SME divisions at Arval, Mike Curtis, has echoed this view saying: "We are keen to support brokers who offer a relationship-based approach with their customers and provide efficient back-office processing and strong risk management."
