Outplacement

In an ideal world, employers would be in the position of guaranteeing jobs for life or at least for as long as mutually agreeable to both them and their employees. However, we do not live in an ideal world and for some businesses the separation of employer and employee becomes inevitable.

In 2002, a global research study showed that of 1,500 companies surveyed, 85% provided an outplacement consultancy programme. In 2003 Callidus Consulting interviewed a number of people who had been the recipients of outplacement to gauge their reaction to the experience.

The conclusions of both studies have formed the basis of the Callidus Consulting outplacement programme - designed with the following principles in mind:

  • To offer a structured process of professional guidance to encompass the full hierarchical spread of the business, not just senior management
  • To provide a comprehensive yet affordable programme
  • To provide value benefits to both employer and employee
  • By making the offer available across the business your company maintains its status as a preferred employer to both new and existing employees.
  • Through a structured process of counselling, planning and action participants are encouraged and motivated to take ownership of their transition and given the tools to succeed.
  • Your investment is commensurate to the benefit felt by former employees as well as to the perception of those within the business who are not directly affected
