This is an extremely exciting opportunity for an individual with a passion for cars, to join the automotive division of a multi billion dollar global organisation, in a role with international reach. Our client is a dynamic and forward-looking business with great opportunities for career growth.

The Role
This is a critical role, and as part of a global data management team, you will liaise closely with colleagues in North America and Asia. You will utilize a range of quantitative and qualitative data sources in relation to vehicle launches and physical characteristics to achieve data management and forecasting objectives. This will include long and short-term forecasting and tracking of priority vehicles at launch.

You will direct the daily activities of your field-based colleagues ensuring they are able to collect the right data at the right time with maximum efficiency. You will support, train and coach them, producing prioritized work orders and reviewing field submissions for completeness and accuracy. These teams will be based across a number of countries and ultimately the role will potentially cover EMEA.

As "guardian" of the database, you will ensure high data integrity. Responsibilities will include updating the database with new information from data sources, including field and customer feedback. Much will be achieved by working collaboratively with your field team to ensure the quality of their file preparation.

Ultimately you will ensure a database fit for purpose to ensure a smooth customer experience and therefore maximise business for your organisation.

About you
Ideally you are a graduate and have a deep knowledge of the motor industry - with a passion and practical understanding of vehicles.
You are detail orientated, used to working with databases, navigating complex datasets and coaching others on data management best practice. Advanced Excel will be essential and CAD experience (perhaps CorelDraw) will be preferred.

In addition, you have excellent communication skills and can engage effectively at all levels. This will be a key skill when directing the activities of the practical / field teams - and team management experience will be highly advantageous. You need to be confident managing directly and remotely. You have a supportive coaching style and are committed to working with individuals to enable them to excel.

As importantly, you are dynamic, energetic, and have excellent problem-solving skills. You are flexible, adaptable to new methods and are always looking to improve your knowledge. You work well under pressure and are calm and unflappable, providing support to your team in an often fast moving environment.

You are looking for a challenging role where your passion for cars can be utilised within a highly dynamic business.
