The Position

Reporting to the Newport site Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor, you will support the site maintenance effort carrying out typical maintenance activities including repair and inspection of pumps, vessels, rotating equipment, pipe breaking and pipe fitting. You will utilize machine shop skills such as lathes, drills and milling equipment in your daily activities.

The Person - the ideal candidate will:

  • Have achieved a time served qualification (i.e. an apprenticeship) in a relevant discipline or equivalent.
  • Be safety conscious.
  • Have a flexible approach with regard to changing priorities in a busy work environment.
  • Be capable of working alone under their own initiative or effectively as part of a team.


  • Starting salary of £35,000.00 per annum.
  • Additional Hours payment of £2,590.00 per annum.
