Germany - role will be homebased currently, post Covid will include up to 70% travel. Excellent English and German essential.
We have two vacancies for self-sufficient individuals with a passion for cars to join the automotive division of a global organisation. These are home based roles with flexible bases within Germany. Both English and German are required for the role. Our client is a dynamic and forward looking organisation with great opportunities for career growth.
Working with an international team, this role will be focused on making paint protection film patterns. You will collaborate with technical and sales colleagues across EMEA and globally in order to access vehicles and create paint protection film patterns to global best practice standards. This will involve travelling as required, primarily within Germany . You will manage your own pattern prioritization list, supporting the development of existing and new pattern acquisition channels to enable vehicle access.
You will work independently, although with great training and ongoing support. This will be a home-based role but post Covid will require up to 70% travel.
To summarise, responsibilities will include the following:
- Developing high quality patterns to include manual template making, digitizing and editing patterns using graphics software and, validating installation of patterns to vehicles
- Managing your own time to optimise your efficiency and deliver accurate and comprehensive reporting
- Managing and maintaining patterns (data management)
- Contributing to and delivering global pattern best practice
- Contributing to optimisation of pattern acquisition channels
With experience within the automotive industry and a passion for cars, you are highly knowledgeable around vehicles and have clearly demonstrable practical skills. These skills may include practical engineering or materials experience - a mindset as to how materials work in real world applications is essential.
You will also need strong computer skills - ideally to include 3D software modelling experience, such as Geomagic, AutoCad, Solidworks or similar. Graphic design software skills, such as CorelDRAW would also be highly advantageous. Other exposure might include 3D scanning hardware and reverse engineering and 3D to 2D flattening experience. However, training will be available if there are specific gaps in knowledge.
You are organised, able to manage your own workload and are willing to travel up to 70% of the time. You work well independently but are also able to collaborate with the wider team, building and maintaining excellent internal and external relationships - including with key customers. Your communication skills both written and spoken in German and English are strong - both are essential for the role.
Results and detail focused; you can follow agreed best practices work methods. You are flexible, used to working to deadlines and are always open to learning - with a keenest to develop your skills. You can work effectively under pressure.
If you have Paint Protection Film (PPF) fitment expertise or have worked with similar products that would be advantageous but is not essential.
