This is an extremely exciting opportunity for an experienced technical team leader to join  a multi billion dollar global organisation, in a role with international reach. Our client is a dynamic and forward-looking business with great opportunities for career growth.

The Role

Leading a small and highly capable international field team of application technologists, the Team Leader is responsible for the provision of window film and paint protection film (PPF) technical services and application support within EMEA. This is a fast paced role, requiring a strategic approach as well as an ability to be flexible and reactive when needed. You will be regularly in the field with your team, supporting them and building capability as well constantly driving quality to address recurring issues. Travel will be up to 50%, primarily within Europe but further afield within EMEA as required.

This person will manage and direct technical services to prioritised customer segments. In addition, they will support the cross-functional processes for quality, product launches and product testing. Customers will include both direct users and distributers, and the film include both automotive and architectural applications.

Management and delivery of training will be a key part of the role and you will have responsibility for the training centre based implementation of the global training program as well as field based training and technical support.

You will build great relationships with your customers and colleagues, engaging all stakeholders. You will support your team both in person and remotely, building team capability and delivering excellence in technical solutions.

About you

Ideally you are a graduate, and in addition to English, have another European language. German particularly, would be a huge advantage. You have a track record leading a technical and internationally spread field team, dealing with a product with a strong practical element. This is most likely to be with an automotive aftermarket manufacturer or chemical company providing a technical product both to direct customers and distributors, You also have experience managing training programs or delivering training.

You are happy to travel extensively and be in the field with your team but are also capable of providing excellent remote support.

You have experience developing and delivering services or plans and are used to working to deliver commercial objectives. You have great organisational skills and can prioritise. Proactive and results driven, you are adaptable to new methods, processes and techniques with the flexibility to change plans quickly to support changing commercial priorities.

You build great relationships and are able to engage effectively with teams and customers in the field, collaborating with cross functional team and leaders. You thrive under pressure and are a great problem solver.
