 I have an amazing opportunity for an experienced commercial vehicle mechanic to join a thriving business in Bermuda. Excellent package and opportunity to explore a different way of life.

 Base circa $60k USD + $20k bonus, flights and other benefits

(Circa £54k base and £18k bonus)

Our client is a well-established family business based in Bermuda. They run full-service car and truck garages, a large parts department and a state-of-the-art paint and body shop. They service all makes and models of private cars, trucks and taxis and stock both genuine and aftermarket parts. In addition, they are the exclusive Chevrolet dealers on the island.

 You will need

• City & Guilds certificates 1, 2 & 3 or equivalent
• A minimum of 8 years post-apprenticeship, practical experience in petrol and diesel mechanics
• A thorough knowledge of automatic transmission, fuel injection and diesel engines
• Full knowledge of air conditioning systems
• A thorough knowledge using computerized diagnostic equipment
• Strong diagnostic skills of a variety of makes and models of heavy and light vehicles and equipment.

In addition, you will be flexible with excellent communication skills, work well with others and have the ability supervise apprentices if required. Good timing keeping and an excellent work ethic, with the ability to work on your initiative is essential. You must also be trustworthy, dependable, motivated, and able to work unsupervised

In order to obtain a work permit – you must have a clean criminal record, and this will be checked post job offer as part of pre-employment screening.
